ABOUT DANNY
Danny King attended the University of Northwestern Ohio (UNOH), where he was recruited with a baseball scholarship. Danny was first introduced to UNOH at a college combine his senior year of high school. Danny graduated with a certification in Universal HVAC-R. Although he received six college offers, he chose UNOH because he was impressed with the Racers Baseball program as well as their academic offerings.
Danny began playing baseball when he was four years old. He continued playing travel ball every summer throughout high school, eventually playing for the Ohio Pitbulls Baseball program as starting catcher in high school. After high school, he was offered a spot on the College Scouting Bureau's National team where he traveled to many states as a catcher and position player. He continued playing for Ohio Pitbulls Baseball for a total of three seasons until he aged out.
Due to a shoulder injury and open reconstruction of the shoulder, Danny had to step away from the sport he loved. He wants to coach young athletes and provide them with the opportunities he has had, as well as the physical and mental tools needed to play the game of baseball. Danny, with the help of his family and friends, began the Danny King ChangeUp Charity in hopes to help financially-burdened families give their children a chance to play baseball or softball.
